Lowe's Home Improvement at 3856 New York 31, Liverpool, New York.

I've spent enough of time and money to give you an honest no BS assessment of this Lowes.

Customer Assistance: if you're looking for help on the weekends from experience and knowledgeable staff then you might run into one or two but the rest are basically part time just out high school/in local college workers that have little or no knowledge of what they're selling or how to use it. If you need to find some help on the weekends look for someone that is the eldest worker there and avoid anyone that looks to be I'm college. During the workdays when the store is full of professionals getting what they need then yes the workers there are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Garden Area: has a way better selection then Home Depot across the street. Lots of seasonal help work in this area so be careful in who you're asking for help. If you need help loading your car plenty of young bucks wandering around so grab them. Contractors can be found during the weekdays and sometimes on the weekends.

Lumber: Never had to ask for any help in this area. Knew what I needed, loaded myself, never asked any questions.

Appliances: Better off going to Home Depot. Nuff said.

Paint: Very professional and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and helped me pick out the right paint that I needed for my project. One of the best departments.

Lighting and Fixtures: Good selection but again no help if you're looking for it even on the workdays.

Hardware: Layout is pretty easy and you always have someone that can help you in this department.

Tools: Good selection but again no help if you're looking for it. However sometimes this can be a blessing allowing you to browse unhindered.

Plumbing and Bath Fixtures: Again better off coming to this department on the workdays instead of the weekend. Professional help then not so much on the weekend. Home Depot has knowledgeable staff on all week so you might be best going over across the street.

Door and Framing: Haven't had to use this department....yet so no opinion.

Carpet and Flooring: Staff very helpful in answering all my questions for tile selection and grouting. Learned to leave it to the pros for carpet installation unless it's a throw rug. Same goes to hardwood unless it's prego.

Kitchen Cabinetry and Remodelling: Monday through Friday is the best time for the most insightful help and selecting and pricing out projects.

Seasonal: Selection is good but finding stuff can be a royal pain in the fifth point of contact. Use the Lowes App to make it easier locating what you want.

Returns: Never had a problem returning anything.

Cashiers: Not sure what one reviewer was screaming about but I've never had to show my DL to use a gift card or credit card here. Always asked me if I needed help bringing anything out to my vehicle if it was a large or bulk item purchase.

Propane Turn In and Refills: A hassle for sure. First you have to go in to the cashier and pay for the refill, then you have to go back outside and wait for someone then you have to show them your receipt and then....you know what screw it just go down 31 and get it refilled at the Golf course across from Kimbrook and it's cheaper.

And always use the Lowes App! So in ending this Lowes is an okay store for what it is. If you need more help go during the workdays then the weekends.
